Edge-2-Edge
All over quilting will bring a beautiful texture to your lovingly sewn quilt. The cost for edge-2-edge will be based on the design you choose.
* Budget Edge-2-Edge $0.02 per square inch
* Standard Edge-2-Edge $0.03 per square inch
* Premium Edge-2-Edge $0.04 per square inch (These designs have a lot of detail and take a long time to stitch out. They may also be stiffer than the standard edge-2-edge designs)
Semi-custom quilting includes an edge-to-edge design inside a customized border or blocks quilted with different sashes or borders. Some Semi-Custom ruler work in borders and sashes is also included.
The cost will increase based on complexity for more detailed Semi-Custom quilting, including stitch-in-the-ditch and free-motion work within blocks and borders, combined with computerized quilting.
Please contact me to discuss your semi-custom quilting needs.
Semi-Custom
Custom
Full custom quilting is available! I love working on developing a plan to bring a quilt top to life, whether it is an heirloom bed quilt or a “quilted to death” wall art piece, I will work with you to bring your vision to life.
The price for custom quilting is by the hour. I charge $30 per hour. The time will be tracked in 30 min increments and I will provide a full accounting for the full time required.
Custom Quilt Creation
Do you have an idea for a quilt, or did you see a quilt somewhere and want one that looks like that? I am happy to provide custom quilt creation services by consultation. I can help you bring your vision to life or create the quilt of your dreams. Custom Quilt Creation is by consultation, and the price will be determined by pattern complexity and quilt size. Please send me an email at timewovenstudio@gmail.com to talk about it.
I do not charge thread or bobbin fees. Just so you know – the only additional costs will be for the cost of batting or binding (listed below and priced at the time of quote), and any time charged if your quilt top and backing are not provided to me ready to put on the longarm (which I will always contact you about before doing any work that would require a charge).
However, there is a minimum $50 charge for loading a quilt. If you have multiple small items that will be quilted on the same backing, I will combine their costs as a single “quilt” to reach the minimum.
Other Services and Supplies
Batting
You are welcome to send your own batting, or various options may be provided. Pricing will be by the yard for batting on the roll or by the package for specialty batting (priced based on current market prices). All prices will be quoted before work begins.
100% Cotton (Hobbs, Warm & Natural, Warm & Plush, Quilters Dream)
80/20 (Hobbs)
Dream Bamboo (Bamboo/Silk/Cotton blend)
100% Washable Wool (Hobbs)
Poly (Hobbs, Quilters Dream)
Other Batting as Requested
Binding
There are three options for binding.
1) You may provide fabric (a minimum of 1 yard of fabric or ½ yard for a small quilt), which will be attached to the front of your quilt by machine for $0.25 per linear inch. All unused fabric will be returned to you.
Example: For fabric provided, binding machine sewn to the front of a 48x48 inch quilt - (48” x 4 sides) x $0.25 = $48
2) You can provide finished binding strips ready to be attached to the front of your quilt by machine for $0.15 per linear inch. All unused binding will be returned to you.
Example: For finished binding strips provided, binding machine sewn to the front of a 48x48 inch quilt - (48” x 4 sides) x $0.15 = $28.80
3) If you prefer to have a totally finished quilt returned to you, binding may be machine sewn to the back of the quilt and machine finished on the front for an additional $0.15 per linear inch (in addition to the prices listed above).
Example: For fabric provided, binding machine sewn to the back and finished on the front of a 48x48 inch quilt - (48” x 4 sides) x $0.25 for the binding charge + (48 x 4) x $0.15 for the finishing charge = $48 + $28.80 = $76.80
Other Charges
My pricing is based on receiving a quilt ready to go on the longarm machine and be quilted. Make sure you read the How to Prepare My Quilt page. My charge for additional preparation work is $30 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments. Some items that might require this additional fee are:
Sewing and/or squaring backing fabric
Pressing the quilt top or backing due to excessive creasing
Trimming excessive loose threads
Adding leader fabric to the backing if it is not at least 8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top already
Correcting significantly wavy borders
Centering or pattern-matching backing fabric
Fixing multiple open seams in the quilt top
Most quilts will not require these services, and I will not charge for minimal services (less than one hour). I will always contact you before I begin any required corrective actions to let you know the estimated work.
Sales Tax
All transactions will include sales tax as required.
